Fan Art

Post by resin » Tue Sep 23, 2008 11:53 pm

Aubrey's concept work inspired me to do a picture of my own. I love this setting, can't wait for the game to come out.

Time to nitpick! Given the size of the hawk in relation to Turner back in Lugaru, and our knowledge that only mammals mutated, I fear that such a situation as bird-riding would be completely impossible. But it's sure as hell pretty.

The mammals mutated to human size? drat, I thought they were still animal sized just with opposable thumbs and other humanistic qualities. I haven't played the full version at this point are the Lupine human sized as well? I was hoping they would be 2-3x the size of Turner.

Yeah, human-sized wolves. Or near that, anyway. Usually a considerable few inches taller than turner... I think.
Also: WATZ?

whats WATZ? I don't understand.

I guess having Turner getting attacked by a hoard of cat-sized (proportionally speaking) ants is out too then...I liked it better when I thought they were little, not getting hurt by tremendous falls made more sense that way. Oh well.

I assume he's talking about the giant hawk.

They're just that awesome. Okay, first things first:

Nice work! It's got its own unique style to it, and you also added those parking garages(?) to it, hehe. That bunny looks to be in trouble if that giant hawk decided to grab him =O. That rat (mouse?) looks cool too...

Now for the bad: It looks like the rabbit had his fly unzipped and now his chocolaty goodness is spilling out... why would he be carrying chocolate milk in his crotch? =O

 Lol, It's supposed to be his bunny tail looking at him from behind, but I suppose it could just as easily be his huge muff

I used two reference pictures one of a Goshawk and the other of a Kite, and I never realised that they weren't animal sized, if the giant hawk looks a little off-this is why.

Now I feel stupid =O
Also, I didn't comment on the giant hawk being bad mainly because you already mentioned your misunderstanding.

I wasn't. Forgive for being unclear. It is entirely at my fault.

My outcry of 'WATZ?" was used as a reaction to:

lolwat... I hadn't even noticed that bit of... tail.
Yes, now that I look at him more closely it does look vaguely like his back is facing us....
Still get the impression it's his front when glancing, though x3

But don't be fooled, it only adds to the epicness =D
