Everyone is mostly correct. Overgrowth will always be on wolfire.com in addition to anywhere else it might turn up. Wolfire.com is the best for us, because we keep 100% of the sales, whereas otherwise we need to pay middlemen. If you preorder Overgrowth, you will get the Mac, Windows, and Linux versions, in addition to the Steam version.

I'm pretty sure a Wolfire game about dragons would kick Spyro's ass =)

Exactly. Spyro games are about a dragon and they are somewhat "forking awsum", so what can go wrong with Wolfire making a dragon game?

Umm, Spyro is one of the best and most original platforming series ever released, so...what? I'm not sure what you're getting at.

I like Spyro the Dragon, it was a fun game that introduced me to the Play Station.
Spyro 2 and 3 were good, but I gave up the serise at 3 because of bad shit going down.

Is it blaspheme to never have played through a Spyro game? I've played a little with one, once, when I was visiting some family outside my country... but yah, no more than that, ever.

I used to have 2, and it was awesome, but right now all I've got is this silly GBA version which is really, really quite horrible to play.
It's like, the levels were designed for 3D vision and the vision was designed for people who really like looking at spyro and not anything else. And even then, I forgot what the story was ages ago and I can't remember what I've got to do.

Spyro came out during the whole, "lets jump on the 3D platforming/cute animals bandwagon". Not a bad thing, but the games really haven't changed for the better.

Normally I'd agree with this, but the games were so god damn fun I don't really care. Besides, I think Spyro was there early enough to lay partial claim to being an originating member of the whole platformer animal games bandwagon.

Banjo Kazooie too
that game is amazing to this day
and Banjo Tooie
but Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts ruined the formula
it did what it did well
and i respect it as a video game (an incredibly fun one for that matter)
just not as a Banjo Kazooie game
and we can't ever forget the platforming epicosity that was Conker's Bad Fur Day

Conker's Bad Fur Day was one of my favorite 3D platformers.
