for sure... bringing your broadsword to a fencing match pretty much guarantees you a win.

I know Krav Maga has probably been mentioned at some point, but here's a relatively in-depth video of it. Kind of lengthy. Shows a lot of the basic but integral techniques of the martial art.

 Not visible in my country (Finland)! :o

Pity, it sounded interesting.

Well, it's from a series called "Human Weapon", where these two guys go around learning about dozens of different martial arts styles across the world. Maybe you could find that episode on a TV site like Hulu or something?

Hulu doesn't work in Finland, either. As far as I know, there's no legal way to view English-subtitled shows outside of the big English-speaking countries. I'm not sure where the areas are drawn, exactly, but the broadcasters don't have rights to show the shows outside of specific areas, usually just a single country.

Hm, I'll try downloading it and uploading the video for you on a site like filesmelt or something :)

If I really wanted to, I could probably find it online somewhere myself. It might also be available on the normal TV, which I'll get to watch soon any way.

Well, in any case, I just let it upload since I wasn't doing much :P For anyone who's outside of the region restriction and wants to see it:

It is 230mb so it might take a little while to download!

Matchges from a spear-fighting tournament held in Poland earlier this year. All the spears are long, two-handed ones, no shields. Besides the stabs, there's strikes with the haft.

French demonstration of how a full plate armor doesn't really restrict your movement.

Pretty cool, I kinda wonder if that armour was made using modern techniques or old ones (also old or new materials?)

So it seems, the tag has now been fixed! Thanks for the tip.

Haha, the demonstration of plate armor was very cool. I'm not sure I would have been able to do that ladder thing normally without killing myself. If OG ever gets plate armor, I think that it will remove stealth as a mission option entirely.

It seems like there won't be full head-to-toes plate, and even metal armor is at least somewhat rare. One dog clan has access to it, but it's probably their specialty.

Yes, the post linked to an epic story, and it was sweet. I feel that plate armor wouldn't fit Overgrowth really well, just doesn't seem it's prevailing style. I won't stop a dog from wearing it as long as I has a hammer.
