And he'd be the last guy to die if they all got into an actual fight
While I don't support his shit sportsmanship, I do applaud his baddassery and ability to kick ass, and head.
Bravo, Mr. Armored Troll. Bravo.
EDIT: Watching it again, I'm amazed at how perfect and practiced that kick was. He landed it right on his hell, he drove his foot forward by extending his leg, his follow through was awesome. Makes me wonder how often he does that move. What evs, it's still bad ass.

I just found a very, VERY good looking source of videos about Western swordsmanship. The videos look great, sound is fantastic, the guys explain the techniques they're doing in great detail, and they are very, VERY good for references.

I mean, just look at this video about descending and rising cuts, made with a two-handed sword in an X pattern made while moving forward and backward.

Yeah. And there's over 100 videos... about longsword, rapier and dagger, sidesword and buckler... I haven't seen anything on daggers alone, but they also explain lots of interesting concepts that could be applied to all kinds of animations. There's videos about unorthodox postures, for examples, and explanations of why and how you might use them.

How to change a sword strike into a grapple

Cutting with rapier

Here they explain how to simplify the amount of defensive moves / animations, when using one-handed weapon AND using the other hand (unarmed or with a secondary weapon) to help in the block or parry.

I haven't posted here for a while, but this was kinda cool. Not all that good as a reference, although the way the punching-back-guy overreacts to the moves really emphasizes the forces and could work for some stuff.

To be honest, I'm only posting this 'cause the sounds are so great.

"Throw him like - KHH KHH"

"Coordinate the harmonies. As soon as you coordinate the harmonies he's gone. Now he's fallen apart."
