Shut up, nut. You weren't there when he was and nor do you seem to have the ability to properly support your statements with very much valid arguments.
Or pretty much valid anything, really.

Leaving the semi-aggravated ranting aside, yes, I too am quite perplexed at why we could not one day see tigers in the works.
I believe, like was said about squirrels, it'd be easy enough to mod them in later anyway. using the cat model for base, etc. (Dunno what model we'd base the squirrel on, though. Of course we have plenty 3D artists who could lend a hand in that)

And Roland, I don't believe it would be that necessary to use 'island tigers'. We're using anthropomorphic animals which have the smarts to create weapons, cities, and even complex medieval machinery like those stone-throwing catapults we saw some while earlier. So why not a boat or ship to sail/row their way to and or fro to the island?
We wouldn't need to get specific, because add any odd change anywhere, and someone could make up a logical explanation for it.

Actually, the only complex machinery we've seen are the one's I've made up on my own time. Wolfire hasn't really confirmed or denied the fact that there are even such things in the story line. We don't even really know if there will be environments like cities, so don't assume things so easily.

They have machinery complex enough to create solid metal knives. You have seen these in Lugaru. Swords, too.
And from the concept art of the cat - Well... There's quite some forge needed to create that.
So a simple boat should be way old news.

"complex machinery" and "solid metal knives"...

Anvil (= a flat thing), hammer (= a heavy thing) and fire aren't the most complex things in the world...

I don't get why you're talking about boats, any way. We were talking about island tigers because they are smaller, than tigers in continental Asia. We were talking about their size to point out that all tigers, including the island variety are actually bigger than wolves. Boats are irrelevant.

I can explain the boats, the explanation was that it's entirely possible that there could be the continental variety of tigers even on an island because of the fact that they'd be intelligent enough to create boats. so therefore making the tigers only slightly larger then the largest wolves would be unnecessary and they could feel free to make Massive tigers. (I hope no one pulls out some "tigers are afraid of water thing, they aren't.") true some knives could be forged in a setup like that but I think their quality would be inferior to those of other knives, it takes higher quality metal to make weapons than tools generally, and a hotter fire is required to work higher quality metal. As to forging a sword as is seen in lugaru, that would have to be done in a real "smithy" as working such a large piece of metal to such a quality would require that it be very hot and there be more proper tools around. but yeah your point stands anyway none of that stuff is complex machinery anyway.

Awwwww~
But surely you if they're advanced enough to create forges to make such swords they've been around long enough to notice that wood floats and have attempted to use this to their advantage?
So that it would lead to them having boats with which tigers could reach Lugaru?

It's not even that relevant anyway, never mind that.

Point is, we can have tigers in OG, even if the devs don't put them in.
