Troubles running some Bundle games...

Let me take a moment just to say how awesome you guys are for putting out the Bundle. Thanks! :D

I am a Windows XP user. Thus far, I've downloaded three of the games; World of Goo, Aquaria and Gish. Of the three, I've only played World of Goo.

Both Aquaria and Gish both will not run for me. When I try to run either of them, the game window pops up and immediately stops responding. Not even a loading screen. It was suggested to me that the problem might be with my video driver, but I reinstalled the latest version just to make sure and the problem persists. I really have no idea what the problem might be. Thus the posting.

Has anyone here ever experienced similar issues, and could perhaps offer a possible fix? I really want to play these games.

Thank you all for your time.

What graphics card do you have?
World of Goo is known to be VERY friendly with really crappy hardware, and to run smoothly on computers that can barely play any other games.

Aquaria and Gish, not so much. So it is very possible that your computer is just not powerful enough for any of these games.

I also have a problem with Gish. Just Gish, though. It won't run at all, and I've downladed the zipped file twice just in case something messed up. I doubleclick on the shortcut, the icon zooms towards me and then... Nothing.

I'm on an out-of-the box 15" late 2008 Macbook Pro, 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4 Gb of RAM.

The other games in the Humble Indy Bundle work just fine, like I said. I didn't want to make a redundant topic.

I've also emailed the Gish guys, but I'm betting the problem has somethng to do with the DRM removal, in my case.

Thanks!

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro.

I'm very much aware that my computer is barely middle-of-the-line, but I checked the system requirements for Aquaria and I meet them, if only just. And Gish's are quite lower than Aquaria's.

A friend of mine suggested that the problem may be something OpenGL-related. Is there a way I could find this out?

I had the same problem and right now i am playing GISH :D

...I replaced the openAl32.dll .

So you just have to ask google where you can download "openAl32.dll" for free
and then copy it to the GISH-folder.
