Halo Wars was a shitty addition to the Halo series, granted, but it was not developed by Bungie's Hands. Halo Wars was developed by Ensemble Studios, the developers behind the Age of Empires series.
However, I think the story in Halo ODST is a great addition to the Halo universe.
EDIT: Btw, I'm sorry for my MAJOR inactivity. I've been away since Sunday.

Whoa, slow down, there was a story in Halo ODST? I must be incredibly thick, because all I could see was milk splashing on my TV screen.
tldr ODST is nothing but a bridge between 3 and Reach. Am I saying it's terrible? No, but the quality is incomparable to the earlier games of the series.

Personally, I enjoyed ODST's Campaign and Story as much as I did any other Halo game created by Bungie.
How are they incomparable? Enlighten me.

Except Reach is a prequel and has nothing to do with ODST and Bungie was split into two teams with minimal communication, one team making Reach the other ODST.

Ragdollmaster wrote:By "idea", I just mean the concept of Halo- the universe and plot etc. You have to admit that at the very least, Halo Wars and ODST were 'milkings' of the series, not truly sincere efforts on the part of Bungie to expand their series IN THEIR EVER-LOVING PASSION, more like just excuses of games that ride on the hype of the previous games' success. Reach seems to be much more closely related to the main story line.
ODST, if anything, is far less of a milking than either of the previous games in the series. Halo 2 and Halo 3 were generally the same thing as Halo but just more advanced and with new features. I love all 3 games, but Halo 2 and Halo 3 were basically copies of Halo, just better. However, ODST was quite different and quite emotionally-engaging, I found. Have you played the full game? Great atmosphere.

Also, I just learned a new word. But how exactly does one pronounce "craic"?
I think its pronounced "Crae-ick"
No. It's not. It's pronounced "crack".

Hold on what? ODST's events don't come between Halo 3 and Reach's. What game were you playing? ODST's timeline is roughly the same as Halo 2's. They're different perspectives of events of the same war.

^Not a literal plot bridge. Maybe "filler" would be a more appropriate term; it's something to satiate the series' fans while they wait for Reach's completion. Bungie originally took on ODST as nothing but a, quote, "small side project to produce in the lull between Halo 3's completion and Halo: Reach.", and it was originally planned to be released as an expansion pack to 3 rather than a separate game.
@Freshbite: I enjoyed it too, but it felt incomplete. The content of the game was much shorter than the other games, and it lacked the fast-paced action of the other games, too; it seemed like a... quieter attempt at Halo. It had its moments, sure, but in the end felt lacking. I wouldn't complain as much had I not spent $60 on it; it was worth much less content-wise. It was an expansion, a 'side quest', if you will, that was packaged and labeled as a separate game. Although I did appreciate Bungie's attempt at presenting the game in a new way (which was fairly cool), it was frankly not enough to make me think, "Hey, this is so different from 3, I just love all of the new content! I'm so glad I spent 60 dollars on this!"
Firefight seemed to be something that people were quick to point out, but I found it unintuitive and overhyped. Again, it wasn't boring or unenjoyable, but it felt average-ish, and it wasn't anything new; it'd been done by GoW's horde mode and COD's zombie survival mode.
tl;dr: my opinion of ODST is that it's a good game which is sadly not up to par with the rest of the series. The thing is, it wasn't meant to be a full-fledged high-production Halo, it was meant to be filler, and that's frankly what it ended up being. Atmosphere does not make up for content. Atmosphere is a supplement; plenty of great games use atmosphere to add on to the feeling of the story line (eg Bioshock), sure, but atmosphere in of itself isn't a redeeming factor in my eyes.

This game i like most .Because the graphics of the is soo beautiful and the weapon use are good .Star Wars? Is that a scifi offshoot of their Indiana Jones gamesP I only know Lucas Arts as a maker of point-n-click adventure games, and some of those were chaotic (in a literal sense) as well as good - "Look behind you! It's a three-headed monkey.
