Seconded.
@Kalexon: Yea, we Lugaru-addicts need a new dose. By the time L2 comes out, we'll be playing L1 with one hand and the screen upside down.

SHAME ON YOU...by that time you should be able to finish, without dieing once, within the time span of 10 minutes blind folded...

Dude: Hey man, how many tablets of Lugaru did you put in?
Dude 2: I don't know man, like 50, 100, I lost count.

Any word on the rag doll physics for the rabbits?
They're always so cool/funny to see

In the first posted demo, is the blade landing exactly balanced on its edge? Because it's handled very nicely, and congrats if so.

jw, in L2 will you be able to move around while in the air? with many parts of the game getting more realistic, i would imagine there would be some other method of jumping.

Some control while in the air is standard in video games. Realistic control isn't always better.

Shiny!
If my 2.8ghz celeron, 512mb ddr and 128 gddr3 gfx (aka 6600GT) can't handle this game, I'll just work the ass off me and upgrade the pile

And, yes, I do believe this game will meet the high standards of computer games in two years (just look at the difference between doom 1 and hl2:lost coast technical demo, and compare the time between them and the quality, and add 2+2=4... in many years, I guess a Lugaru 3 would be super-super realistic

)

Initial:
The blade would sink into the ground a bit if it's sand; that'd be a nice touch.
For physics discussion:
Projectile motion and rotational motion differ in their properties - certainly for projectile motion, you can simplify an object's mass into one point; however, for rotational motion (such as describing how the blade would rotate midair, or rotate after colliding with a wall) you need special equations to describe the rotational inertia (I) around the axis of rotation.
Please wait to finish intro physics before chanting off what you know as knowledge.

Wait until you talk to japanese people.
I take personal offense from that.
At David:
I approve. And you're right about the changes in technology - I'm probably going to replace my machine around the time Lugaru 2 will come out. I'll make sure to keep L2 in mind when I'm researching what to get. *smiles*
Another nice touch to projectile motion in the engine would be wind effects on trajectory - ie, extra windy stage would null the ability to effectivley use thrown objects; naturally, different objects would have differing values for how they're affected by wind. Viscocity could be added for in-water motion, too, slowing down whatever drops in - same value for wind might be usable for this.
Right, then. Time to go get a textbook and lunch.

You shouldn't! I wasn't trying to be racist or something. Actually, my own english is pretty strange, isn't it?
Now, why did I say such a horrible horrible thing?
Because there's evidence!
In fact, I speak japanese myself (worse than you'd believe and still loving it) and know lots of japanese people that speak english way better than I do. They laugh at me because of that. I like them anyway.

ok another question:
this may be a bit too soon to ask, but will the fighting include preset animations? its hard to imagine they wouldn't, but i never liked how ridged the reversals were in L1...

That made me laugh.
Someone explain why?
