Allies?
Allies?
I dunno, probably another topic like this somewhere else, but in Lugaru, there were maps with NPCs, you could talk to, of course. And of course, there were maps where you fought.
In Overgrowth, will there be both? Like, civilians running from city fights, or, allies who fight alongside you, against enemies?
I could just see endless possibilities, everything from rescuing endangered civilians to fighting in an army against....Well.... Another army.
'Course this prolly won't happen, caz it would lag like crazy, but it's an interesting thought.

OG will most likely have allies, yes.
anyone else think the Lugaru forum is the wrong place to post about OG? Not to be rude to anyone who has posted about OG here, but it doesn't seem right.

Re: Allies?
Having computer controlled allies would be cool in fact .. i want that in overgrowth.. it would make me feel less lonesome in a campaign.

Yeah, I think we should save this discussion for SPFLotus Wolf wrote:anyone else think the Lugaru forum is the wrong place to post about OG? Not to be rude to anyone who has posted about OG here, but it doesn't seem right.
Re: Allies?
I'd agree, weren't it for the fact that the SPF is only for those who've preordered it. So those who can't access it, where would they post a topic such as this?
Why, here, of course.
It's not 'general wolfire', it's not 'randomness', and it is arguably about the sequel to Lugaru.
Also yey for allies.

The people who preordered OG already get all your information early and you get a special place to post your "special OG discussion" threads (That's your privilege for shelling out the $30, I know, you paid for it.), but I see no reason to try and keep Overgrowth discussion just in the SPF section. If all Overgrowth discussion is stuck in the SPF, how are people who are curious about the game, or want to talk about the game or learn more about it (before having to cough up $30...) going to get (minor) information or hear rumors?
Yes, I understand you have certain guidelines for being in the SPF thread and you can't release information about the game, that's all fine and dandy, but trying to keep discussion about OG just in the SPF seems excessive.

Re: Allies?
yeah the only reason that putting this in the lugaru section seems wrong to me is because the team posted all their lugartoo stuff in the wolfire section.

That's what I had meant. I figured it should be posted there.

yes but now and then he wouldn't mind a bit of assistance from someone with the same goal as he has.
