Heh heh heh heh
It's funny because the guy puts up his dukes for the fight, which apparently doesn't happen.

(not well at least, he's somehow missing his head)
This is funny dialog and very nice cartoon style. I like Turner's oblivious attitude (apparently his whole family acts this way too

) even though he has Super Man fighting skills.
How long does it take you to create these? Two straight weeks, for each?
Will the intro continue until the demo is finished?

Actually they only take a few minutes I'm just usually doing other things or intentionally holding out for more responses.
Turner's oblivious attitude is inspired by his actual attitude in the game, where [again, spoilers, but it says that in the title] he completely doesn't notice that Jack and Skipper are in on it (despite the phrase "Damn, it's too soon", Turner's fears are always allayed with a simple "Oh, nothing!" or "nevermind!"). He also has no problem following some random stranger into the woods in the middle of an apparent attack -- a stranger just moments ago he thought was a raider, and who, of course, convinced him he WASN'T a raider by basically saying "I'm not a raider". Turner fell for that one, too.
Turner's just the slightest bit dense. He learned over time, but at the beginning... ugh. Traditional "everyone sees it coming but the main character". I'm exaggerating, sure, but if I wasn't, it wouldn't be funny.
And everyone knows the Wanderer fight goes incredibly fast. Especially since they start you off with that great double-fisted punch right as the stage starts. I always loved that.

Last one was sweet too. The whole first sequence of the game made me giggle. I hope David does some stuff like this again in the next game for the nostalgic quality. It wouldn't feel the same without it. Like Resident Evil wouldn't be the same at all without the terrible voice acting, which they of course hung onto for Resident Evil 4 and probably will hang onto for the next instalment.

If this were serialized and given its own site, I would immediately put it under my favorites, and buy merchandise like a mindless sheep with a huge wallet.

how about I just do that second thing
with the merchandise
I guess I'd have to pay David royalties

Hmm... A
www.lugaru.com/net/org/whatever fansite....?
Would be awesome. And Vib could host the comic there. >_> Just to stay on topic.
But, yeah. You know. I have webspace (pretty neat host.. sadly not dedicated). But not enough money to buy a new domain name. Sooo...

I could host in on wolfire.net (wolfire's dedicated server)

Hmm.. Never noticed that one before. Heh, apache. Specs and limitations?
A fan-driven oficial Lugaru etc. site would be neat. Somehow. Somewhat.

Well, actually, this is not exactly something of an ongoing project. I mean I intend to maybe finish the game's story and then that'll probably be it.
Besides, I'm not really capable at the moment of holding up another project like that. I've already got a daily webcomic to keep track of plus various other creative projects and craploads of coursework for my final quarter.
So there will be more comics, but not often enough or in great enough quantity to really warrant its own site, most likely.
