Dualscreen

Post by Nuky » Mon Jun 19, 2006 5:38 am

Well, I decided I wanted to try playing the game at 2560x1024 res. That is, in fact two screens put besides eachother, both at 1280x1024.
I noticed dualscreen hasn't even been mentioned in this forum, so I gave it a shot.
What happened was that Lugaru gave a total shit in the new res, disabled screen 2 (temporarily), and played in 1024x768.
This was expected, though.
But is there no way to set custom res and dualscreen support? :(
This is on my windows-box, by the way. My minimac aint got two ports for screens.

^Ack, I just sounded nooby, didn't I?^
^^I'm pretty sure dualscreen isn't supported anyways. Why would it? And Lugaru 1 is done anyways. Perhaps Lugaru 2 will?^^

OpenGL games rarely support multiple screens. Actually, multiple screen support is rare with any overlay technique.

MS Flight Sim does it. Lugaru doesn't do it.

If you want two screens, each with overlay content, you need multiple overlay channels. That isn't done often.

Both David and I have dual screen setups. It never occurred to either of us that someone would want to play Lugaru across two of them. I don't even know how that would work with a single graphics card. By Lugaru "gave a total shit" you mean that Lugaru changed the resolution to what it's set to in the options, right?

Yeah, well, it changed from the unsupported resolution to the default 1024x768. No need to worries, it just proves that the game works ^_^
