I love the work on the Terrain, it looks real, the lighting is almost perfect, IMHO in the First picture, I think the Shine makes the world look like its just had a rainy day.

The Shine could be brought down a notch.
How ever, from what I understand its not the lighting you are focussing us on, its the bumps and ripples of the world and how the Light will hit them.
Am I correct?

On another Note...
I ask you (david) a speculation on when L2 will be released?

It's amazing...it beats most full commercial games by a long shot...you're almost up to par with Dirt and Forza Motorsport 2...if you beat them in graphics, I don't care about the download size, I would pay $40 for it...so long as it's shareware and it has the unlockable demo thing again

Just so long as it has an editor and supports custom content Ill be happy!
Oh and Im not sure my computer could run all that...

For us with 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4 Processors and 512MBs of RAM, will be able to turn down the Graphics?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it has been said many times already, the game options will be customisable so people with less powerful computers can run it too.

My programming teacher has a laptop 486. It's so awesome. He says he only keeps it for sentimental value.

Anyway, don't ask for release dates just because an update was posted. I assume there's still a long way to go.

I keep my 486 for my old games:

Commander keen, Jill of the Jungle, Doom etc...

But about the Release day Question, Im not asking an official date, just a Speculation...

for one, I know that David would say something such as "I am not prepared or ready to say"

Will I see L2 released during my 21st or way before it?

It's not as if you need to plan your income for its release. It's not like buying a new house. :?

The Lugaru Multiplayer is probably on of the best things we've ever seen for this game. I hope it will still exist after its release.

man, wolfire is doing the same thing as will wright and his damned Spore game! They hype it up each month or year and then POSSIBLY hint at a release date that MAY be within the next 5 months... probably. But then it doesnt come out.

but dave, dude, you obviously have a talent for this game making thing. You need to go to Bill Gates and slam a copy of L2 on his desk and say "Hey you sons of (insert vulgarity of choice here) I have more talent in one finger than this room combined, so if you wanna see this blockbuster ever you gotta sign me a million!"

Its called being assertive! No can say no to an assertive person!

And then Microsoft would steal the game, make something similar, and say it was all their idea, forcing David to release Lugaru 2 freeware or risk lawsuits.

It's easier not to challenge Microsoft. They might not make great games, but they're business savvy. How else do you think they got this far?

And, David has never once said that Lugaru 2 would have even the remotest chance of being out in the next five moths... where did you get that one from?
