Keep in mind that Will Wright is working full-time with a team of 70 people, and I am in college with a much smaller part-time team. I think we are making pretty good progress, considering.

I have no idea when L2 will be done, which is why I haven't sent out any press releases about it, except one to announce that we are working on it.

Lets not pressure David too much about getting the game done, after all we wouldn't be talking about lugaru 2 at all if it weren't for David.

No, we'd find some other ragdoll-based game to talk about. Its like crack, only all in our heads.

Hey, while we're waiting for L2, why not put a dowloadable patch for L1 that'll give it a multiplayer server? Possibly just a LAN server at first.

Nah.. That wouldn't quite work.

If it were that easy, L1 would have had LAN anyway.

That's just not right. At all. Jeez. :P

I think you're oversimplifying game development a bit.
It's not like David can open up Lugaru in his Adobe Game Development CS3 program and check a box marked "multiplayer".
"Oooh, there's the multiplayer button! Wish I'd seen that sooner."

It was probably a bit unclear, but I meant to say that his Spore-comparison was silly, and then I adressed the "multiplayer-patch" comment.

XML and LAN connections are very hard to set up. First off, David and his team are just working on the single player modes of L2. Dissolute Productions ( the guys who made Chaos Faction and 7 Deadly Sins ) have been putting all their effort into creating XML and LAN for Chaos Faction for about the last 2 years. They're in a similar position as David's team ( fairly small, all in college ) and all they're working on is multiplayer to make Chaos Faction Arena. Like Zaphon said... you're over simplifying game development. Give it a try for yourself and see how hard and how long it takes to make a simple game where you click circles. Then you'll realize why it's taking so friggn long for L2 to come out. STOP BITCHING DAVID ABOUT L2.

Ya might wanna elaborate a tad more, put a 'to' in between 'bitching' and 'David'; as of now it sounds as though he's bitching about L2 :D

I'd rather have to wait for a well made game then get a rushed pile of steaming bull honkey.

I'll be patient. I can wait.
