Dead map download links.

Post by Sartan » Sat May 05, 2007 1:23 pm

Going through the Wiki, some of the links seem to have decayed, as it were.

Map Pack for the Elite Gamer, Watcher, StaffShock's Map Pack, Infiltration and Wolfie Map Pack are all dead. :(

Not just the map links are dead, some of the skin links are too, Both the Chinese Turner and the New School Samurai skins are broken links.

Damn… I remember the days when they existed. I still have the china skin textures folder and map in my Lugaru folder for when I want to use them!

If you have them, then they still exist, and can be hosted at a more permanent location.

If you ever have a map or texture or something and need hosting, just email it to [email protected] and I will host it for you.

I fixed the link for Infiltration again. Let's hope it stays good this time. :)

And you didn't get Jeff to help?

Umm, It won't ever become a dead link from lack of downloads if it's uploaded to wolfire.net.

I will talk to our back end dude and see if he can make a public FTP account or something for you guys.

Ideally, we could have some kind of image/file hosting script like rapidshare, but it would be just for wolfire.com. Anyone know of any scripts like this?

Jeff, I already posted the location of such a script about half a year ago. Wonder where I did that... but I did.

I wrote you a PM but realized it made no sense because last time someone wrote me a PM, it took me 12 hours to see I got one.

http://www.php.net/manual/en/features.file-upload.php is the section about this popular issue in the online PHP manual. Quite readable.
