Re: A few Questions about the Creation of Lugaru 1
When I started working on Lugaru I had just read a book about Nat Turner, a black American slave who led a slave rebellion in 1800. That is more of an inspiration for the name and overall plot, but not so much for his character. He and everyone else do not really have much character except that required for the plot to proceed; I am hoping to have stronger character development in my newer games.Colicedus wrote:1st Q: What Inspired you to create the character Turner? and was he based of a person or character you liked?
The story in Lugaru 1 flowed pretty easily from the idea that Turner should have a good reason to fight everyone in turn. I have thought a lot more about the story in Lugaru 2. Since there is more freedom to explore, there has to be a lot more depth to the world and characters.2nd Question: What Gave you the idea of the story? No, not really3rd Question is: Do the Fan-fiction storys that have been written have any resemblance to where you want the story you have to go or where you plain it to go?
Edit: Unfortunately there are no power tools in the Lugaru world.

4th Question: If you got to redo Lugaru 1 for the simple reason to add more Character, how would Turner be depicted?
So far all we really know about Turner is he is a Kung fu, ninja Rabbit, who seems like a Nice guy, but you don't want to get on his wrong side.
It seemed as the plot developed, he was a little foolish at the beginning.
Was this what you wanted Turner to turn out like? (no pun intended)
2nd Question: What Gave you the idea of the story? Did the story Just come to you? or did you have to think on it? also, have you thought out the story even further than what we have seen? or do you just make it up as you go along?
I cannot wait!David wrote:The story in Lugaru 1 flowed pretty easily from the idea that Turner should have a good reason to fight everyone in turn. 3rd Question is: Do the Fan-fiction storys that have been written have any resemblance to where you want the story you have to go or where you plain it to go?
I think that was the thing with the First game, there was not much history or myths and Legends to start off with so the world is very adaptable for later games.David wrote:No, not reallyBut the world of Lugaru is big, and the games only show small parts of it. Some of the fan stories are pretty consistent with the world, even though they won't be related to the stories in the game.
5th Question: In Lugaru 2 will there be much implementation of Legends and Deities?
