how do you get the enemies to have weapons in debug mode?

name pretty much says it all but just to clarify, if you were making a level how would you give the enemies weapons?

shift m to go into map editor mode
shift x to give closest enemy a weapon

No, x is to change the weapon you've already got.
Pressing X while unarmed does nothing.

Oh yeah, sorry.. i good way to get yourself a weapon is to make an enemy, give it a weapon, kill him, take his weapon, and then change it to what you want.

Tis fun to enter the map editor then steal the enemy weapon and kill them with their own sword before they know you exist.
Anyway, problem solved, let's let the topic die now.

why not just give your enemy the weapon you want in the first place?
EDIT: I can't delete stuff that was on a map when it was loaded
