I'm wondering what I do after I download a new map/mod. I assume you put it somewhere in th Lugaru folder, but I've tried a few things with maps and nothing has worked. So..what do I do to try out all this cool stuff? :)

Well you could look at the Lugaru wiki for more information...

First note that you must switch debug mode on in order to do this. To do this, go into the "config.txt" file in the Lugaru folder and find the value that says "debug : 1" or whatever and change the "1" to "0".

..or the other way around.
If the value's 1, change it to 0.
If the value's 0, change it to 1.

I think you put on debug mode while in a game and then bring up the console by pressing " ' " or whatever it was you pressed to bring up the console and type in "map (mapname)".

The map file has to be in the "maps" folder first though, the one in the Lugaru folder in C:/Program Files.

So for example, say there's a map file in the folder called "cavern1". To load this map, bring up the console while in game and type "map cavern1" and press enter and I think that loads the map.

Someone else tell him if I'm wrong.

I just want to check because people have done this in the past.

Have you got the full version or just the demo?

If you've got the demo it won't work, get the full one, it's much better. :D

If you've got the full version it'll be fine.

don't change 1 to 0 in debug, debug should be set to 1.

you put the map in the maps folder in the data folder and then with debug mode set to one you go in game choose any map you like and then bring up the consol with` and type in map (mapname) to load it and remember spaces are important

That was a very imprecise way of explaining the process.
