User modifications

Post by George the Flea » Tue Feb 01, 2005 8:32 pm

From what I've read on this forum, it sounds like it is possible to create user made maps for Lugaru, among other fun things. It would be nice if there was some sort of localized reference on how to go about creating user modifications instead of having to troll through posts upon posts in these forums.

Also, I saw some screenshots somewhere of maps that were definitely not in the game. Are there any user made maps that are ready for public consumption yet? If so, where are they and how would one go about installing/playing them?

I really hope that user-made stuff starts making an appearence soon. The story mode of the game is surprisingly short.

You can create maps.

shift+m = toggle editor mode
m = place object
p = place enemy
shift-p = place waypoint
delete = delete most recently made object
shift-delete = delete most recently made player
up/down = change size of next object
control+up/down = change tilt of next object
left/right = change rotation of next object
shift+left/right = change type of next object
h = give 2000 health

o = change enemy's skin
shift+o = change enemy's type (rabbit/wolf)

control+p = make/connect pathfind waypoint
period/comma = select pathfind waypoints
shift+comma = delete pathfind waypoint

Lugaru.tk will have user made maps as soon as people start submitting them, there are several in progress by me.
Also believe Lugaru still includes user made maps.
Turn Debug on in the config file, enter the game(any level), and press ~.
Then type map custom1 or custom 2, on up to 7.

Does Lugaru still have a Readme? If so its all in there, along wtih console commands with give a LOT of customization ability to the map maker.

It does, I was just an idiot and didn't think to open it. It's in with the game data files, called "Debug Readme".
