Oh, the irony...Renegade_Turner wrote:That comma that you placed in that sentence was completely unnecessary, and was quite grammatically incorrect.
Muahahaha, and you write better, don't you?Renegade_Turner wrote:How do you come to that conclusion?
That comma that you placed in that sentence was completely unnecessary, and was quite grammatically incorrect.
No, there is no irony. As David said, the comma I placed in the sentence was optional. I could have left it out, but I didn't. Both ways are correct.Ultimatum479 wrote:Oh, the irony...Renegade_Turner wrote:That comma that you placed in that sentence was completely unnecessary, and was quite grammatically incorrect.
I think you mean that it is a 'hobby' (plural 'hobbies').Don't mention thanking me for the grammar lesson. I do it as a hobbie more than a service.
I know and do not care.Renegade_Turner wrote:That comma that you placed in that sentence was completely unnecessary, and was quite grammatically incorrect.
I tried to win in one way and failed in a different way. But yeah that was retarded.David wrote:I think you mean that it is a 'hobby' (plural 'hobbies').Don't mention thanking me for the grammar lesson. I do it as a hobbie more than a service.
If you'd known it was incorrect, you would not have made the mistake. You know NOW obviously.Invertin wrote:I know and do not care.
there is a conjunction, but it's not joining two complete phrases. "Was quite grammatically incorrect." is not a complete sentence on it's own so there isn't a need for the comma there.Renegade_Turner wrote:That comma that you placed in that sentence was completely unnecessary, and was quite grammatically incorrect.
Brownie point for knowledge of grammar.David wrote:I think Renegade's comma is correct but optional, while Invertin's is not correct.
There is no need for one, but either way it is not grammatically incorrect. You can choose to omit or include it. I'm still right.Cmyszka wrote:there is a conjunction, but it's not joining two complete phrases. You don't believe that, and neither does anyone else.invertin wrote:You lose.
