Kill Lag

Post by Sly » Wed Apr 23, 2008 1:44 pm

Hi everyone

I have a question, Lugaru runs great on maximum details and resolution and everything but no matter how i change the graphics i get lag when i kill someone, only when i actually kill them.
I can fight with 3 or four at the same time and i wont lag it's just when i kill them.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Sly

Thats Slomo.
When you play on easy and normal Dificultys, it gose into slomotion for a second as you kill some one.

or dose it stay slow after a kill?

If it just goes slow, it's fine, that's slo-mo. If it goes d-d-d-e-e-e- (jumpy like a scratched record) then it's not fine.

Have you tried turning off motion blur? It uses kind of a crazy technique that does not work on all graphics card drivers.

Go into your data folder, find the config.exe, open with notepad, manually change the line

Blur(0,1):
1

to

Blur(0,1):
0

My computer had a god awful time rendering the motion blur, but then I got the software updates for the drivers and it works fine now. You should try updating if you haven't already.

Yes, it is like a broken record it stops for a secound or so.
I dont think it might be the blur because when i take a large hit and i go all blurry it doesn't lag at all, but i will try changing that and slomo too

Thanks

If it only slow-motions for a second or so then it's fine, it's supposed to. Does the sound slow down too? If so, I don't think there's problem.

I don't think it's like that invertin, or else it would just be his computer being slow. I think it pauses completely during those parts and then skips ahead after those parts are done.

Maybe.

Do I really want to say "Hi I'm invertin" in an odd way again?

No I think I'll bury that phrase.

I have no idea what's wrong. Sorry. Turning off slo-mo would fix it from the source, but then you'd have no slo-mo.

Actually, in slomo, it's "hiiiiiii. Iiiii'm iiiiiinveeeeeerrtiiiin." in a really creepy russian male voice.
