THIS IS SPARTA
I am your father.
I AM BEOWULF
Etc.

"I AM BEOWULF" doesn't count since it is a carbon copy of the "THIS IS SPARTA" only with different words. Same inflection in the way he says the words aswell.

No.
SPARTAAAAA
And BEOWULF
Are different.
He stops to breath between every word-
I, AM, BEOWULF
And stops the last one really quickly as if he ran out of breath.
I, AM, SPARTAAAAAA
He doesn't stop the last word quickly.
[/Memenerdjesuschrist]
Besides. I prefer I AM BEOWULF. Sparta's just overdone now.

No, the inflection on both phrases are the exact same. Beowulf copied 300 with that line. However, I am aware that "Beowulf" and "Sparta" are two different words. You're right about that. Well done.

No, listen to SPARTAAA and Beowulf, they are different words (DURRR) but they are said very differently.
The rest is the same though.
(Still perfers I am beowulf)

"This is Sparta!" and "I am Beowulf!" are both implying the same thing (fear us, blah blah blah, we are scary, blah blah blah, I'm going to eat your young...etc...) and you could say that Beowulf is copying the "Sparta" line. Depends on your point of view.

The entire movie Beowulf was trying to tap into what made 300 so popular.
It failed, for many reasons.
What really makes me sad is that Beowulf is a great story and they could have made a kickass movie out of it if they had stayed true to the original plot.
Seriously, it's like
1. There's a monster
2. Beowulf kills monster
3. There is much rejoicing
Repeat 3x. All they'd have to do is focus on making the battles as gloriously epic as possible. And not make Angelina Jolie Grendel's mother. There's even a bittersweet hero's death ending.

Hmm. I belive it was ID software that said this quote:
A Good game is like a good P0rn movie. The Plots there, but its not the focus.
Judging by what Doom 1, 2 and all the Quake games turned out , can we all state that we are Glad that Id software did not wright ether Beowulf or the 300?
It would consist of these elements:
-Imps, Zombis, or what ever Exploding.
-A Mute that gets constant blood noses, and Juggles Rifles and Torchs.
-Cyber Demoins (kinda makes it sound like a porn movie.

That... is so, goddamn annoying and obnoxious and naïve... and at the same time...
so, so sad, so sadly true...

Fixed. You're not funny if you haven't figured it out
Now then; Beowulf failed for many reasons and most of them have already been mentioned... but I agree about the whole T-I-S/I-A-B thing. They both imply the same thing, and just because 'Beowulf' is said in a short burst instead of 'SPARTAAAAAAAA' doesn't really make a difference.
