The Weapon Shop
Re: The Weapon Shop
Are you going to design armor??? I saw on the website the 'Armors' button, but htere wasn't anything, so I just wondered...
Re: The Weapon Shop
If the answer to the above is yes, something that would be awesome beyond all reason would be a gauntlet:
Or maybe the full set:
....What could be more cool than seeing a bunny jumping around in plate armor?
....Knights are cool

Re: The Weapon Shop
I don't really know anything about this kinda thing, but you would have to redo the shirt and pants right? And maybe the earbands for the helmet? I dunno, but it sounds awesome.

There is an Armor section, yes, i haven't updated it yet, soon perhaps.
Re: The Weapon Shop
Ok Thanks, really looking forward to that
Re: The Weapon Shop
If rabbits get armour, I'd like there to be the realistic impediment of jump height.
It would make all the difference.
Clang, clang, clang.

Plate armor, as it is, when paired with chain mail, covers the entire body. as such, the weight of said armor (~40-50 lbs, about the weight of a marine's equipment) would be spread out in such a way so as to provide ample protection without impeding movement or flexibility. A reasonably fit knight would be able to run, jump, mount, and fight as they would normally while wearing the armor. A man can do pushups, cartwheels, even a somersault while wearing plate armor. The reason that people in armor today look and move so clunky is because the armor had to be specifically made for the knight himself.
Leather armor, in order to be battle worthy, had to be quite thick. it did not impede movement, and offered some protection against blows. chain mail offered protection from slashing attacks and absorbed blows quite well, however it was heavier, but the difference in protection was much more significant. With the dawn of plate armor, europeans developed a way to completely protect from almost every type of blow without sacrificing ease of movement. An armor system with only a few openings. Plate armor was hard enough that it couldn't be stabbed or slashed through. there were a few openings at the joints, and that was about it.
If there was no ease of movement, it would not have been used
Re: The Weapon Shop
I looked it up, and you are right. You learn something new every day, I guess.
The only time armor would slow you down was if it was someone elses armor, which is hard enough to get off of the corpse in the first place. And I doubt any self-respecting knight would let you borrow his set either.

Okay, alright, but I still want it to go clang when you land.

Re: The Weapon Shop
i think Glabbit meant that the armors weight of 40-50 pounds, no matter how well spread out over the body, would reduce jump height and distance, and speed descent.
