Kinda like a baton.
Like i said, it would be strange to throw, but awesome anyway.

Gray, you can change the parang into a knife by changing the .solid filename to Throwingknife.solid, then you have to convert the textures to .png format. you ca do this in most image editors. if you want me to do it for you just let me know, i'll post it up.
The elbow blade will be tricky for it to look and function like that one, but i'll give it a shot, right after... the Trident, and the Eiku. (if i forgot somebody's request i apologize, just remind me about it

)

basically bladed tonfa...
at one point I had a character on a roleplay forum i visited use something similar, even making a simple [very simple] pic to help describe.
I was looking around and apparently there's a soul caliber char that uses something like this too. Me love you long time if you actually go through with this and make this weap.

The weapon as drawn there has the blades facing the wrong way. As it stands the spike is nearly impossible to use and you'd only ever hit with the flat of the blade (unless you tried to stab, but tonfa really aren't designed for that motion). Remember that you hold the short segment in your fist, and rotate that with quick wrist motions to spin the long segment.
Also, I believe the character in question is named Talim.

i've got the idea, and i had already foreseen that problem, there is a simple fix that you'll have to stay tuned for.

How about this sword:

Its from an anime called "Berserk" and its huge. Replace the staff with it if we can figure out how.

If you'd like I can mess with the animation files (renaming them and such) before you start working on a model, that way you won't end up wasting your time.

so you want a REALLY long sword with spiky things near the hilt?

sure thing! But you know, those look like longer versions of the regular sword...
and Gray, if you want to mess with the animations, then go ahead. im still unclear on why though.

Ah, excellent idea Gray! I would love to fight like Guts.
@lotus wolf - the Berserk sword is huge. I don't know how big you can actually make the model. Here is a picture of the sword in relation to its wielder.

There are times when it's a bit smaller as well. Mainly in thickness.

The reason I was going to try changing the animations around was because of the hand positions during the idle phase while holding the staff. From what I understand the hands are set fairly far apart, so depending on how the models work, Turners hands might actually be in the blade itself when he's holding it.
I'm not really sure which I would change the staff Idle to though.
