Lugaru RP!

(i may not have been here long enough to know, but that is probably the longest post i've seen from you, at least in an RP.)

Xei, Celias, Kareem, and Osaki had walked for about another hour when the calls started. it was another 5 minutes until they saw the smoke slowly rising. it was coming from over on of the higher hills that they were about to reach. "Either they can smell us coming, or a fight has broken out." Xei said, judging by the cat calls and screaming, it was likely to be the latter. Then the clang, and clash of metal rang out, and the latter was confirmed. "Good, they will be overly occupied, watching or participating in the fighting." Osaki said. Celias nodded. "We will spread out, signal when you are in a good flanking position." Celias said to Kareem and Osaki. "Xei, with me, we will ambush them up front as they attack from the sides." Celias said. "Pincer movement." Xei commented. Celias nodded, and they began to move up the side of the incline.

Celias and Xei were covered by the falling night as the sun was blotted out by the highest peaks. It was one of the advantages of being on such an oblique path of attack. They reached the edge of a rough camp and there were 4 cats fighting and several others watching. Two leopards had attacked two tigers from tree tops, even though they were allies. The tigers had the advantage of being the largest and strongest pure-blood cats in the world, but the leopards' ability to climb trees and sneakily attack had injured the tigers early on. As the fight raged on, Celias sneaked up to where a relatively small jackal was standing and stabbed him in the neck with a needle filled with poison. The jackal collapsed, and Celias threw him back down the side of the mountain- none of the cats noticed. Xei climbed up one tree and Celias mimicked the move, getting high up into the branches of a leafy tree that provided both cover and support with many smaller branches up there. He could now see Osaki and Kareem crouching on the left side of the camp. "Osaki and Kareem, 10 o'clock, Xei." he said. Xei nodded to indicate he saw them, and they watched as a tiger went down and was finished off by a leopard. "I reckon we give that tiger a fighting chance." Celias said. He took out his crossbow and put in a poison tipped arrow while Xei signaled to the two wolves to prepare for attack. A soft thud signaled the arrow being launched, and they saw a leopard howl as he fell from the strong poison. The whole camp's attention was now in a panic, and the remaining two fighters stopped fighting. Celias sheathed his crossbow and drew his sword, then jumped out the tree and hit the ground in a three-point stance, drawing the attention of the cats. He stood up in a fighter stance, and a foolish rookie sand wolf rushed forward with a spear. Celias sliced off the tip of the weak wooden makeshift with his sword and caught the shaft with his hand, spun it around and broke it against a tree. His nimbleness was that of a master, and the wolf tried to break the attack with by stopping with his feet, and ended up skidding on the ground. Celias put blade to throat and the whole camp waited in silence, edging slightly closer, wondering if they should save their comrade or if it would be wise to flee from this warrior. Then Osaki and Kareem rushed in and killed two cats instantly, taking a third by surprise and wounding it. Celias plunged his blade into the throat of the sand wolf and then took it out. Xei leaped out of his tree and hurled his spear into a fleeing coward. There were probably 10 cats remaining in the center, shocked by the attack, and surrounded by the 4 allies who were covering each cardinal direction. But these were the veterans, the cats who had an ounce of sense in their bodies. Killing them would be a different story. It was a standstill, a stalemate that would only resolve itself through one manner, and both sides were trying to make sure they came out victorious.

Xei pulled his thrown spear from the dead cat, and swung it around wide, forcing more and more power into its length. He brought it down on a mountain lions neck and heard a satisfying crunch. He then drew his tanto and hurled it at a tiger. the tiger caught the blade and sent it back, but Xei let it hit the shaft of his spear where it stopped and he pulled it out. Xei whipped the spear around and dealt a heavy blow to the tigers stomach. the tiger keeled over and began groaning. Xie then buried the point of the spear in its chest. a jackal had moved up behind Xei as he had been engaged with the tiger, and it now hit Xei in the small of the back with a cudgel. Xei, thankful he had picked up the scale armor before this adventure, turned with the old berserker fury in his eyes. The jackal received a sharp blow to the head with the butt of Xei's tanto, and collapsed. Xei felt the bruise forming on his back, and knew it would be infuriatingly painful later, but it had awoken his berserker blood again. He lunged at a leopard and drove his spearhead through its throat, he then spun in mid-air and cracked another's skull with the edge of one of the spear's side blades. Xei landed and saw Celias Impale a lion, and send its body flying over his shoulder. He then turned and began fighting towards Xei, killing easily as he went. "Amateurs!" Celias roared over the din. "I noticed!" Xei yelled back. "Where are Kareem and Osaki?!" Celias yelled. "Last i saw," Xei killed a jackal. "They were over there, giving a hell of a good fight!" "Good, lets meet up," Celias slashed a tigers throat. "With them, and finish this up!"

The leader of the small sub-band, a very large Jaguar, saw his last soldier killed by Kareem, when suddenly Osaki came up fast wielding his knives. (Oh, I never specified their equipment. Osaki has two short but very sharp knives, and Kareem uses a triple bladed scythe.) Osaki hurled one at the Jaguar's foot, causing it to jump back and then avoid a hack from Kareem as Osaki plunged his other blade into the side of the Jaguar, and then gave it a spin kick that sent it into the air. Kareem brought down his scythe hard on the Jaguar's rising shoulder and sent it crashing back to earth with a huge crack. The Jaguar was barely alive when Celias, who had jumped a good 20 feet off a tree, landed on his head feet first and crushed the skull. "Nice teamwork." grinned Xei as Osaki and Kareem sheathed their weapons. "We've got some nice spoils here," Celias said. "But these guys were pretty inexperienced. I really expected harder." he said with a face. "Who knows, but who cares, Celias?" Osaki asked. "Maybe we just met a newer group of these guys. The tougher ones are probably further up the mountain." By now the sun had set completely, even for ground levels where it hadn't been previously blocked by the tall peaks. "Should we advance up, make a camp, head back..." Kareem said trailing off.

Kareem had trailed off as a thunderous roar shattered the quiet. a huge figure began moving down the slope towards them, running feral style, but still taller than Xei. "Another liger?" Xei asked, for it was still a long way off. Celias nodded. "Very likely, i was wondering if they had some kind of elitist." I'd never seen one before the other night." Xei said. "Now twice inside of three days!" "No problem, there's four of us," Kareem said. "And only one of him." Osaki finished. "Yes but he is larger than all of us." Celias said. It was getting close now, and they could see the silvery-tan pelt, and large weapons. It seemed all to similar to the one they had fought the night before...

Kitzaru whistled as he walked into a forrest he had never been in befor i he thought it looked nice so he went in there to see if it would fit nice for camping there tonight.as he went further in suddenly he hurt noises from somthing that very well could be a battle. he dident like to get involved so he sneaked further in and tryed to find out more about the stuff that happend there
