I can't make debug work

On my mac, whenever I try to activate debug mode, it says I have to save it as a different file. I did this, then I couldn't find it, even when searching with spotlight. Any solutions?

I'll assume you're talking about config.txt
Save something from the same program. THe dialog should put you in the last place you were when you saved it.
Also, if you're using TextEdit, be sure to "Convert to Plain Text" (Command-T) before saving the file. Also make sure that the file ends in ".txt"

it wont let me convert to .txt, or save it as .txt

Make sure you convert to plain text first, than "Save As..."

it comes up with a message: text edit does not save files with simple text format, document will be saved as a rick text format with a new file name.

I actually made a mistake in a previous post. Convert to Plain Text is Command-Shift-T . Do that, then try Save As.
