please state witch virus scanner you used to detect these Trojans, and if you scanned before or after you got the virus. i highly doubt Hal would plant viruses on his Lugaru mod site.

Maybe the site got hijacked? It's troubling that there's no statement from Hal about this.

It can only be attributable to human error.

Both. I scan it every month or so.
I downloaded these off of the forums, not the site. I have McAffe, and they have a kind of toolbar that lets you know if a site has any red downloads. I searched the site, and it had two red donloads,, both trojans. I'm not blaming hal, but I wanted you to know thats what I found. Maybe they were wrong?

definitely wrong, i have nothing against anyone using McAfee, but it wouldn't be my first choice. i downloaded all the mods on the site, then scanned them with Norton, and Avast. non of them were bugged with viruses of any kind. i also scanned the site with both scanners and they showed nothing wrong.
Avast is free BTW, its very powerful, you should get it.

EDIT: I downloaded all of them a while back, but when i scan the site, it still shows it clean. a site hijack may explain why my older downloads are clean, but the scans show the current ones are still clean. very odd...

I didn't uploaded any viruses into that website and I haven't detected anything this far. Besides, the web host service even made a virus check when I uploaded everything there.

Sorry I didn't post that earlier. I just visit the forum for the alphas these days, lol.

AVG works very well.
