Thats hundreds of times more info than can be processed by, I'm pretty sure, ANY computer is capable of.jo-shadow wrote:Also man I want that 100GBPS connection. that's hundreds of times faster than even my Harddrive can read or write.
Heh, well actually a record has been set that's about 3 times faster, at 2.56tbps (that's terabits per second, or about 320 gigabytes per second), and not just in one room, but over a distance of 100 miles. Many science facilities like the Hardron collider also have access to similar speeds to be able to transfer the huge volumes of data they generate, as well as big clusters of computers to process it all.Sandurz wrote:Thats hundreds of times more info than can be processed by, I'm pretty sure, ANY computer is capable of.jo-shadow wrote:Also man I want that 100GBPS connection. that's hundreds of times faster than even my Harddrive can read or write.
