Problem with latest package of Lugaru

Post by Blorx » Thu Jul 07, 2005 12:30 pm

My problem is that I'm on my G3 and when it downloads and unzips, I open the folder and it has a ._MACOSX folder and a Lugaru folder, when I open the Lugaru folder, the text files and app and everything else are unrecognizable and have no extension, the G3 is running the original 10.3, a little help here?

It sounds to me like you downloaded the Windows version; the Mac version is here: http://www.wolfiles.com/Lugaru.sit

What did you use to decompress it? Did you try using Stuffit?

If the file was called a .exe then you should of downloaded the .sit, but since you are having problems with the .sit folder theres no other advice I can give you.

Well, when Finder Extracts the .zip files, it uses the UNIX side of things to get it done. Since UNIX doesn't know what a resource fork is, it just extracts what's in the MacOSX folder but doesn't merge it into the file like it should. Use Stuffit expander instead. It will identify the App as it truly is. Trust me.
