Has anyone attempted custom model/mesh/animations?
As a furry, this game has gripped me. It's awesome.
I'd like to attempt my own mesh for Turner, however. I've searched through the forums for similar questions, but all the answers were too brief or dismissive to be conclusive. From what I can gather, the .solid format is proprietary to the Lugaru game, and no public conversion plugins exist for commercial software like Maya or 3DSMax. Has anyone come across any editors or otherwise to access the .solid format?
In any case, I will probably begin work on a custom Turner mesh (in Maya), with a little more flair, more robust physique, sleeker disposition, and of course, for more straightforward skinnability.
Given the amount of auxiliary work that has gone into the actual Turner/NPC bunnies animations, weapons, armor, and so forth; I fully expect that a custom Turner is not a viable one-man project. I intend at least to make the mesh, to sate my own artistic desires. :)
To that end, does anyone know the polycount of Turner? I'd like to stay in that neighborhood, for the sake of potential compatability.
Anyway, let me know, because knowing is half the battle.

Well... this is all kind of disconcerting news.
So I guess the independent development of Lugaru 2 goes on without the series creator? A mystery man from the West appears to take the reigns? I don't know what to make of it.
All the same, I'm feeling the itch to toy with Maya again.. so there may eventually be screenshots of what I can cook up, then fade back into the peanut gallery where I belong.
Also, was I right on about the "brief and dismissive" part, or what?
Many peaceful futures!

I mean you, David Project Leader! What do you mean by "series creator"?
Thanks for clearing that up for me. It puts me more at ease. Having a brother of my own, I know how much more easily it is to hold your own flesh and blood accountable for their various incompetences and crises resulting thereof.(Jeff = David's brother)
Onward, upward, and outward, to the future!
