Insta-currupt!

I recently joined the marvoulus(spelling?) world of Lugaru and boy is it grand!

I played the demo as far as it would let me the paid the 20$ to register...I regestered and now every time I exit Lugaru my config.txt and user files are currupt...in other words I cant keep any progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried deleting them? Lugaru will create brand new ones.

There is an elusive corruption bug in Lugaru at the moment. David is not sure under what conditions it happens. If you can figure out when it happens, that would be extremely useful.

Yes I can delete them but then i lose all my progress...which is not so good and really makes me wish I had my 20$ back as Lugaru is a very buggy program.........The game is good but I'm sick of all it's flaws.

I am kind of confused. Your Users file becomes corrupt every single time you play Lugaru? Do you have to delete it multiple times?

I did a whole mess of reasearch and it only does this when I play the challenges past lvl 9. maybe that will help.

similar error here:
it crashes when i have a Users file that was played up to the Alpha Wolf

(which is shitty cause i wanted a nice screenshot of him *g*)

here are some 'Users' files that crash lugaru as soon as i click "Enter"

Now it doesn't work at all. It crashes before getting into the main menu if there is no (uncorrupted) users file available and crashes immediately when entering in-game if there is one. Overall, worse off, but different.

Previously, it crashed when pressing "Enter" in the main menu when there was a campaign underway and while loading a challenge with no set score was run (the only way to run that challenge was beating the previous one and choosing to continue). Atleast it seems to me that way, but may have been a lvl 9< problem.

Are you using an ATI graphics card? This version does not support ATI.

Nope, GeForce 6800GT. Although discluding ATI users is kinda harsh.

This fix temporarily undoes the ATI fix, which apparently makes the users file not work. Soon I will have a fix for both problems and will replace the uploaded version of Lugaru.

I have an ATI x600 pro and it works fine, the only thing that doesn't function is the blurring effects.

I experimented a bit with the settings and now it works. It appears to be rather unstable with the "detail" option set to high and then completely doesn't work with that combined with a resolution other than 1024x768 (desktop resolution), although that once crashed for me, but later worked (I restarted Lugaru every time I changed the settings). It still can't generate a users file, although that shouldn't be a problem since it doesn't corrupt it anymore.

Edit: Bah, I spoke too soon, after passing a challenge and quitting, it doesn't even get to the main menu and gives a black screen. :C
