Well, Am I SUPPOSE to WIN?!

Post by Septar » Sun Feb 26, 2006 4:15 am

Well, I'm new to lugaru.
I got to the part where I'm suppose to kill 3 wolves..
But I've tried, what? 34925983298534 billion times.
Each and every time was something diffrent.
each and every time, I got mauled to death in 2 retarded hits.
If you ask me, the wolves are tooooo
FREAKING OVERPOWERED!!
It's ticking me OFFF!!

Check this out: http://wolfire.com/wiki/index.php?title ... Techniques

I think you might be able to learn a thing or two that will make the game much easier.

Killing them is not my problem, SURVIVING them is.

From another thread:
1)
champrjk wrote: I find that if you have a knife its real easy to flip over them (Confusing them in the prosess) and land right behind them. The quickly take our your knife and slit their gullet. Its a nice fast way to get them out of your hair.

Also, if you jump against the wind, you can spinecrush the wolves without even fighting. You just have to land right behind them. IIRC, in the level you're interested about, if you're looking towards the wolves from your starting position, you've got to approach from the right hand side for this.

These are the easiest and safest ways to kill wolves, 'cause there's not hand-to-hand fighting involoved. All 3 work well.

Now I'm going to copy-paste this post every time someone asks how to kill wolves. :)

Edit: quote fix

I press B when it's time to kill wolves, and I type "wolfieisgod" when I have to fight more than one. Though more usually, I just run like hell and try to keep one on the ground while I fight the other.

How do you tell which way the wind is blowing?

Wind is a bit more complicated and it takes some patients if you're new to the whole thing. Bushes and trees will sway in the direction of the wind. I suggest looking at a bush and watching its motion, I'd say every two out of three swings follows the direction of the wind. I know I've heard this somewhere...
ok here it is

-Snow falls in the direction of the wind. Staggering, but true.
-Tree leaves swing in the wind Shocked. Every third swing the whole foliage leans in the direction of the wind. Handy.
-Bushes swing, too. Every second and third swing the whole foliage leans in the direction of the wind. Useful in the desert.
-Don't try to surprise a wolf with the wind in your back.
