Punched into orbit?!

I was fighting the three wolves in the campaign on the way to the wolf king. I had dispatched the first wolf, and had nearly killed the second when the third came along and made life difficult for me.

Running from the two wolves I turned to make my last stand. I scored a hit on one wolf knocking him a short distance into the other. Simultaneously the second wolf threw a punch.

What happened next I am not quite sure.

I *think* that the wolf I punched recieved the wolf's blow, rebounding him into me. In any case the result was that Turner was fired upwards.

Turner flew upwards, yet alive, continuously for some time. So long in fact I surmised I would not go back down again.

The wolf had punched me into orbit.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It happened to me. I died, and when I touched the floor, I immediately began to fly upwards very fast. When I restarted the level, all models were gone and only the skybox was left. I had to restart the game to make it work again.

I have had it happen to me before, but the hit that knocked me into orbit was a killing blow so the map reloaded before I had a chance to land, or even slow down much.

That exactly has happened to me about three times.
It's really weird, I mean, how can where you are when you restart the level affect how it is after restarting?

happened to me once.. I killed everybody, died in mid-air right before the score thingie came up, hit the ground, flew up.
When I pressed space and was supposed to either retry the level or go to next level, the level which loaded were a screwy level 1 :/

Happened to me too. Reminds me how sometimes new levels load with the ground slightly higher or lower than it should be by a few inches, or the bunnies begin crouched and immediatly get up. All quite weird.

happened to me once too, I was fighting a wolf on one of those big rock boxes, he punched me and I landed on the edge of the box, and when I started getting back up, I shot down really fast and the bounced up and just kept going...

slightly off topic, but sometimes for me the textures wrap weird. theres just a bunch of lines on the models... anybody else get that?

Apparently it happens to everyone.

There's an unglitchy way to get smacked into orbit as well! Just go to that unused map in the data folder that's all blue and stuff, walk to one of the four corners of that giant square, and get pummled by a 20' tall rabit!

There is no map more fun to get killed in.

I launched a wolf into orbit last night.

I hit him at a rock and rather than sliding off or bouncing back he flew straight up, dying when he landed again.

Well I might ask what you, someone well over 30, are doing in a video game forum trying to burn little kids?
