These Arms Are Snakes f'ing rock.

I also had to include Minus The Bear, because they're just one of the most relaxing bands ever. It's ambient rock music dude. The music sounds like what hippies are thinking when they're high on drugs.

And for some reason this song "Absinthe Party At The Fly Honey Warehouse" reminds me of the beach in the Summer.

been really into this album lately. I love that opening riff, and then it comes back (with some variations) in the last track of the album. Their use of dissonance is really powerful.

Jeff Buckley is more powerful.

Check out around 3:10. Raw emotion.

If you can't tell, the microphone breaks about 20 seconds in. For him to still be audible is crazy.

on a completely different note, how about Sigur Rós? Track 8 off ( ) has to be one of the greatest single tracks ever.

The most wonderfully mish-mash mix-up of styles this side of Farmakon. It's dancey, chuggy, atmospheric, and very colorful, all at the same time.

And here's what this thread has been missing: Atmospheric black metal
Wolves in the Throne Room:

Altar of Plagues:

Weakling:

I saw The Raconteurs at Oxegen 2008. Wahey! They were great. Made me jump around, and I usually only do that when I'm not drunk...at The Raconteurs I was only partially tipsy.

Suicide Silence, yes. Underoath, occasionally. That cover from Wyclef Jean is surprisingly good, but I preferred him with the Fugees.

Personally, I prefer Underoath when they're combined with mewithoutYou:

You could say that UnderoathwithoutmewithoutYou isn't as good.

Also, the Fugees were pretty awesome, particularly the album "The Score", from which this song comes:

I like the hook in the background which makes the song so catchy. The hummed vocals combined with the synths provide a really sad and foreboding feel to the song.

I saw Napalm Death live. They were playing with Primordial in The Forum in Waterford. Primordial were better. Much better.

What promoter put Primordial in the same show as Napalm Death? Quite an odd lineup, if you ask me.
