Maybe Adobe has a bundle of some sort with studio on it.
Nah, I found it. It was Macromedia Studio 8 I was thinking of, which includes Flash Pro.

Anyways, yeah, I'll probably move over to Flash. It'll probably be for the better for now, despite a lot of time going to waste. I just don't understand C# game logic.

Works for me, man! :D

In any case, I think I might end up overworking myself, but I'm officially decided on what I'm going to work on.

1. The dark platformer done in Flash
2. An ASCII RPG done in C++ (I am hellbent on not wasting my C++ experience)
3. Getting an alternative indie band together

To set concrete goals early is crucial.
We have had so much trouble during our school-project (to create a game) because of the fact that we didn't set any goals on paper.

It was more like..
"Alright, so we want a boss.. and some smaller enemies, and it should be a platformer.. "

So we didn't set anything in stone and that made it really hard to build up the foundation of our game. We basicly created random objects that we thought would be necessary for the game-world.

When we finally realised that we would never get the job done in time if we kept on doing what we did, we created a list of things that needed to be done, and in which order they should be done. This allowed us to follow a linear pattern while developing and could easily scratch things that we were done with.

So, I think it's great that you have set up More reasonable goals.
And you sure as hell did it earlier than we did! :)

Don't give up on those amazing game ideas! I want to see you become great! =o
Perhaps you could rival Wolfire! Perhaps your talents will be recognised and you could join Wolfire!
You know, help out on post-Overgrowth game development, brainstorming, fanhandling, etc.

I don't care which you pick from the choices, but I do know I won't be satisfied if you pick none at all! D:

Yeah,

1. The dark platformer is a concrete goal I'm still detailing.

2. The poetic game based in Flash is the uber-hard, uber-short platformer I'm using to learn Flash. I just thought it would be fun to incorporate lyric into it somehow, kind of make it different, ya know.

3. The game for Atari based on a willow tree's growth is for fun. It's a sort of game design lesson for me. I've read a lot about Atari programming and have decided that the forced simplicity in your games could be a good lesson in great game design.
