Please don't suck, please don't suck, please don't suck, please don't... wait, this is Valve we're talking about. Please don't be merely great, please don't be merely great, please don't... etc etc.
What he said.

+ what a wave of goodness it could be if they would make an open-world fps/rpg, just 'cause I like them and they would do a really good job. If they started now, they could have it done by 2014.

It could release shortly after Episode 3...

Team Ico is amazing. A frigging genius, Fumito Ueda is.
Zhukov wrote:However, I do wish they'd make more games that aren't bloody FPSs. Granted, they do it better then damn near everyone, but the market is kind of flooded at the moment, what with everyone trying to be the next CoD.

I mean, a third person action-platformer (think Enslaved or God of War) made by Valve? Fuck yes, sign me up.

Of course HL2Ep3 is exempt by dint I-fucking-said-so.

I hereby present proof that Portal 2 is quite possibly going to be fucking awesome.

The following video is gameplay footage of Portal 2 in shaky-hand-camera-that-someone-probably-snuck-into-a-preview-o-vision. It shows the first six minutes of the game, plus some other snippets.

I suppose this could be considered a spoiler of sorts. I kinda wish I hadn't watched it.

You have been warned.

The comic touch really makes this series.
I'm really excited to play the second one.

I think im not going to watch the video and wait for the surprise

I totally plan on buying this game when it comes out though ... which says alot because i haven't bought any big developer games since ... 2008-9 ish?

I'm more of a developer/tinkerer than a gamer to be honest ... I probably have more hours spent making maps, models and mods than playing video games :?

I basically pre-ordered overgrowth just to have access to the engine (however, I totally lost steam when it came to doing something with it :P )

Yes, the longer it takes, the more awesome it has to be.
Fixed. Otherwise, there will be severe worldwide consequences.

If it releases at the end of 2012 and it wasn't worth the wait then you know why the world will end.
So Duke Nukem Forever will be better than sex? :P

Yeah, and the $5 you save might not seem like much, but you can use it to buy some snacks while you wait for it to come out.

Nah, a good game's a good game, regardless of the duration it took to get there.

I saw that deal but I wasn't sure if I wanted it bad enough to pay the full price or wait a few months for a good deal on it.

But yea, After watching the trailers with various witty banter ... I might just preorder it

Although I feel I might regret it ... I tend to only buy stuff that is extremely re playable, such as stuff that has community made maps and mods.

But something like this might not be very re playable.

It will have an editor after launch, so there's replayability, and I've replayed Portal 6 or 7 times.

I'm probably going to wait to buy this simply because I'm not exactly swimming in money at the moment but I'm wondering if people will still be playing co-op by the time I do get the game.

I mean, I absolutely love co-op type games.

So I have decided to make a deal with myself ...

If I do well on my job interview tomorrow and they invite me to tour the manufacturing plant, I will buy Portal 2.

If they don't invite me that means that I've lost the "get the job" game :P.
