so, is there actually already a storyline planned for the new one?
Most likely. I'd sure like to see what they have cooking up in there heads.
Razor7, the idea of attaching the day/night cycles to the clock is great. Although if somebody wanted to play at night while in the day, all he would have to do is change the clock. There are many ways of doing this though, implementing it into the game code, then having it detect the time either by internet or some other source might be better.

Is there really a reason to prevent somebody from doing that?

True, it wouldn't be very necessary. Btw, this reminds me of an old dos game called
Tyrian that when the computer clock is in december, it would enable a "Christmas Mode" that would change all the lasers/weapons, ships, backgrounds etc. to candy canes and snow balls. Its pretty fun.

I think it would be alright if you changed the time. The fact that most people wouldn't, i dont think would matter. The fact that it wouldn't be going forward "days" but just changing light wouldn't better you off either, if you needed sleep and all of a sudden it's light for 48 hours, you'll still have to sleep. Same with the night time.

[OFFTOPIC]

There is a mod for every version of GTA (starting with GTA III) for doing that.
Didn't find the one for GTA III, but here you go:
Real time for GTA VC
Real time for GTA SA

lol!
"Oh no, the alpha-wolf has returned, AS A ROBOT!!!!". Ok, maybe not. But we can all agree that adding something like that would ruin the game.

I was wondering, is Lugaru2 planned to be totally cross-platform, ie working on Windows/Linux/MacOS?

Meaning us Windows people don't have to wait a few months to play the game.

Are you planning to release it cross-platform all at once? That would be sooo cool ...

Thats what I'm hoping. Now that I think of it, releasing it cross-platform wouldn't necessarily mean he will. I guess I just assumed.
