Spore

Post by hdlsa » Sat Jan 21, 2006 8:19 pm

Spore is a new game made by Will Wright and developed by Maxis. You start off as a single celled organism, and evolve several times and eventually become a colony/tribe. From there, you can build vehicles and fly spaceships to other planets and even galaxies. Each planet has it's own inhabitants, which are automaticly downloaded from the internet. Praticly everything is customizable, from your race to buildings and vehicles to planets. The screen shots dont do the game much justice, but if you watch the hour video, you will be dying for this game. I'm not very good at describing it, so you should just watch it.

I remember seeing a preview for this game a few years ago and saying "Must remember to check that out when it's released".
Now I must make a note to check that out when I want to lose massive quantities of free time O.o

Hm.. I think they could have made that grass look a little better though, this isn't 2003 =p

People who attempt to produce really original games like this deserve a medal :)

it could, but imagine playing sim city (about the same ui complexity, I think) on a console.

I'm so confused now. By reading the original post I thought you were playing the game (although that still is possible).
So when is this game slated to come out?
