Bull Accounts

Post by pyros soul » Tue Jul 11, 2006 5:23 pm

There are about 600 accounts that don't post at all or often. I think they should be deleated. Does anyone agree?

They are all bot accounts that make one thread advertising a website which is usually deleted. Their accounts would be deleted, but only administrators can do that and it would take a long ass time.

Edit: Why did you make this a poll? Of course people want them deleted. Even if most of them weren't bot accounts, why does it matter to you? Just because they don't post much doesn't mean they don't deserve to read the forums as much as anyone else.

Are you volunteering yourself to do the job?

If I knew how, i would!

@zatoichi: At least once a month, most of the accounts are bots anyway and use the same thing for all of the information, (Occ.:blah blah, interest:blah blah, location:blah blah, etc.) so you safe on this.

Unless you are a bot

Wow, I didn't think anyone would actually volunteer. I'm not so worried about people deleting accounts... I trust you guys not to mess up the forum (worse case scenario, they can be restored from backup.) However, I am not sure if it is possible to allow a user to delete people without also granting them access to the secret dev forum which poses a lot of problems.

That forum is not so secret. Some people in here have waaay more posts than I can find of them with the forum search. That implies there are some secret posts I don't have access to.
