Here's an attempt at making music, i guess it's ambient.
If you think it's something else then please send me a message.

Here's our little collaboration that involved making a trailer for a new mod...
dun dun duuuuuuun!
...and it was sooooo much fun to be a part of. ^^
Surak and Gyrth have made an awesome multiplayer mod, here a link for the topic:

you can't just walk away from something like this! ...no! no! wait! really!
aaaaw dangit...
anyway ... we had to shorten the music for the video, but you can listen to a full version with a fancy bell hit at the end here:

Re: fan music\ost
hey, can I use some of these as my actual overgrowth soundtrack for in game?
my favorite is also Wiyot Redwoods, it does sound like it would work really well in game, especially as the "tense" song when there's still enemies on the level.
Dune emeralds myth would work as the "sad" song for when your character dies, I think.
Kuvas empire arena could be either the "happy" or the "combat" song
and the OGMP song is definitely for the "combat" song
they all sound great and really fit Overgrowths atmosphere.
I also play music, but I don't have any music tools for pc or any recording equipment, so I doubt ill be posting my own music here anytime soon
anyway, good luck with your future songs!!

Hello, Hanzoid!
Sure. You can use it in the game.
... as about tools for recording you can get something free like a trial of any DAW that allows to use 90% of the functionalities for a month. I tried a few of those and decided to buy Ableton live "Lite" which costs a hundred dollars. Yeah waaay too expensive for me but i still like it so far.
By the way internet is filled with free simple software, it's possible to start with a trial of any DAW and some free virtual instruments.
We could try to work on something together if you like this idea
Thank you so much for taking time and all the warm words, Halzoid. Good luck to you too. ^^

....nooo, no no! That's not the way to do it! ... oh well, let's try at least.

Re: fan music\ost
hey, Wiyot Redwoods was the only one that it would let me download, so that's the one I used...
if anyone else wants it to work in game, they can get it here, they just need to edit the music script for whichever path they want it on... its pretty self explanatory from there:
for some reason, the MP3 works fine, but the OGG format was acting weird and messing up all my other songs in game too, I have no clue what the issue was, however Og doesn't use MP3 files, so only the OGG could be used...
It did work... but it was blotchy and skipped a lot, no clue why..?

(filesize was too big, otherwise I would have just left it as a download here...)

Re: fan music\ost
yep, cool. I can download them all now...
unfortunately I had the same audio issue with them all
except for windwalker mountains remix which worked perfectly, so I guess Ill be keeping that as one of my in game songs.
I'm loving how these sound, and they all seem like they work really well with the atmosphere (as I previously mentioned)
and yeah, I will check out some music tools online. but I need to delete a few games on my PC first because im almost out of space.
anyway, keep up the good work
