I think daxtart is trying to say that countries that weren't fighting IS are now fighting IS. So still it feels like WW3 (i almost typed WWE)

And that basically the whole world is fighting so that it definitely feels like WW3. It is a world wide war after all. You have a point too Endo. It isn't like each country is fighting each other but rather a terrorist group. Anyway I am not going to argue anymore because I think that undermines the seriousness of the entire predicament.

It's not really WWIII if we're not all fighting each other. World War implies the World is at war with it's self. ISIS has no allies.

Ended up in a place the other day.
Thought I'd share.

Is that the place in British Isles, something to do with giants?

I've seen similar pictures before, but I imagine actually seeing these would be very cool. They look so artificial, even fake. What did it feel like, in there?

That's the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.

It feels surreal. These structures look somewhat artificial at first but at the same time incredibly enchanting. It's really no wonder that people came up with legends surrounding this place. I'm kind of sorry I didn't take any pictures of the walk up to it. You see it from a distance with a sort of flowing cliff on your right side and the closer you get the more impressive it all becomes. The fact that it was windy and the sound of the big waves crashing in only added to it all.

Awesome place for jumping around, too. The rain made it a bit dangerous, though. I hope I'll be able to get there during summer at some point.

It kind of looks like red shards with those hexagonal structures. Not to tie it to overgrowth too much. It is just plain beautiful. I wish I could go there someday.

That's precisely why I posted it. Basalt columns like the ones that form the Giant's Causeway are the inspiration for the columns in Overgrowth.

There's similar structures across the Irish Sea on the Scottish coast and in Iceland. Probably anywhere where volcanoes used to be active close to the sea or large bodies of water.

EDIT: More than I expected.

Columnar Volcanics sounds like a metal band.

I don't listen to a lot of metal, but those I might look up.
