To put this into a context...
1) You are using a toy that can create unseen worlds, play music as magnificent as an orchestra, and which you can use to talk with people from faraway places and experience war and death and joy.
2) You're using that toy to access a world of pure information that is wider than the sum total of recorded human information from 100 years ago. In fact, you probably can freely and instantly access a considerable number of the recorded information from 100 years ago.
3) You are using that world of pure information to talk with people you've never met, but who you've known for years.
4) It's not as easy as you're used to.

We live in the future. I'm stll amazed by this.

Here, have a pic of this matchstick some SpaceX engineers just threw over a skyscraper. It landed on the penny they left floating in a lake.

I have a wealth of information at my finger tips.

I can find out the answer to almost any question I can think of.

I have unlimited access to all the information I could ever wish for in my entire life...

And I use it to watch videos like this:

I eat dry dog turds.

That is what I use my infinite wealth of knowledge to expend to you all.
That I devour dried dog turds on humid sundays.

That's probably more healthy than the countless pounds of pizza I've been pouring into my body as of late.

See, you gotta avoid /r/all like the plague. There is so much of Reddit to explore beyond /r/SandersForPresiden- I mean the front page...

Reddit has the hands down best online forum layout available. And it has so many different communities to interact with. On reddit you can actually have and follow communications without many of the caveats other websites have that cause misunderstandings.

If you only browse without anything in mind and think that the general frontpage is supposed to cater to your interests, you don't understand what reddit is about. The general frontpage is about what is popular. Nothing else. In order to get something out of reddit, you need to make an account and subscribe to subs you actually care about. And you need to install RES. Your own frontpage will ONLY have stuff you actually care about then.

I currently have two accounts. One for my core interests, one for entertainment. High quality content and opportunities for meaningful interactions are flying my way, more than I could ever check out. At some point I will probably create a work related one as well. Reddit is that good.

Reddit, at best, is like endlessly getting random internet things you're interested in. At its worst, it's like getting random internet things described to you by random internet people.

Most things and most people do not interest me, so...yeah.

I can recommend anyone living in the USA to read the /legaladvice for a bit. Divorces are messy, inheritance is messy, landlord/tenant issues are super common, drunk/high people do weird things, always have renter's insurance, do not break other people's trees. Seriously, trees are expensive. You might end up paying for as much as it would cost to buy, transport and plant a living tree of the same age... or triple that.
Also, workers' rights are horrible. I'm so much happier in Finland now that I know how BAD things are over at USA. Being told to work 25h straight on Thanksgiving and Black Friday is not only legal... it may not be enough for overtime. Unbelievable!

It seems like /personalfinance and /fitness are also full of general advice.

I've peeked at specialised entertainment boards for recommendations. I had already read most of the fantasy books recommended on /fantasy, though.
