Bug reporting station
Re: Bug reporting station
I have a bug with the humble bundle version of the game, every time I go to launch anything I get a missing model or texture error and when I went to the textures I noticed that they were 0 bytes. How do I get a working version?

Re: Bug reporting station
Try reinstalling the game and see if that works.
Re: Bug reporting station
i have tried the version from Humble Bundle comes in a zip that you just extract, so I have deleted the folder and extracted it fresh but it is the same thing. I had it with the previous version hosted there and now with this new version as well.Silverfish wrote:Try reinstalling the game and see if that works.

That doesn't seem right. Maybe you're running out of HD space?Rin wrote:i have tried the version from Humble Bundle comes in a zip that you just extract, so I have deleted the folder and extracted it fresh but it is the same thing. Re: Bug reporting station
That seems like the right size... I have no idea what could cause this. :/
Re: Bug reporting station
Oh somehow I fixed it, just to test I deleted the folder and used WinRar to extract it instead of Windows 7's built in unzipper. Now it works for some reason. Bizzar but now I can play it finallySilverfish wrote:That seems like the right size... I have no idea what could cause this. :/
Re: Bug reporting station
After installing the SUMlauncher, I no longer have the option to load a level from my PC. The button next to the 'load' button with the folder icon is no longer there. I can still type in a filepath, but it won't even attempt to load it. Is there some way to get that button to appear again?
Under the sidescroller of maps, there is this line:
"No custom levels are installed - run SUMLauncher's Community Content Browser to see what is available."
and under that there is:
"Or load a custom level: ("map name.xml") [ 'Load' ]"
whereas before, there was this:
"Or load custom level: (last loaded map path) [ icon ] [ 'Load' ]"
I don't think the file button should have disappeared, so I'm posting this assuming it's a bug.

Re: Bug reporting station
I am having an issue with an 'invalid argument' game crash in the Beta2 Steam version.
I select to open a level, and the loading screen appears and lists the loading queue per usual.
Next, it gets to 'loading all data in advance...'
Then, the error window pops up and the game freezes:
Failed to open the script file: E:/Program Files
(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Overgrowth/Data/Scripts/d|
Invalid argument
I recently re-downloaded and ran a second copy of the (latest) v3.0.8 SUMlauncher
I also played a downloaded custom arena map and some other levels that had an empty(?) or corrupt xml file, resulting in a blank level.
If any of this information could help resolve the issue, that would be wonderful.

Re: Bug reporting station
Majikmon, go to Windows->Mods in the menu bar, do you have any mods active there? If so deactivate them and try again. If that doesn't work you can verify the game cache by right-clicking the game in your library, clicking "preferences", going to the "local files" tab and pressing the "verify integrity of game cache..." button.
Re: Bug reporting station
2 mods were present, none active.Silverfish wrote:go to Windows->Mods in the menu bar, do you have any mods active there? If so deactivate them and try again.
Thanks for this! I didn't even know that was a feature in Steam.Silverfish wrote:If that doesn't work you can verify the game cache by right-clicking the game in your library, clicking "preferences", going to the "local files" tab and pressing the "verify integrity of game cache..." button.
Unfortunately, after re-verifying 3 of the files, and 3 times over the newly 'validated' game cache, the same crash still occurs with the same error. Anything else I should try?

Please send us an email with the logfile and hwreport.txt attached.
