So the spam situation is getting out of control... I need some more back up on deleting the spam threads. Would anyone who reads the forum very often like to volunteer to be a mod?

I wish only to Serve Jeff.
Since I Just got Kicked out of School again and have nothing to do for another few months I would take this Job as an honor.

I may not post as much as I used to, but I check the forums anywhere from 1 to 5 times an hour

Well, give it V-Zip, then. I'm not gonna be checking that often.

I could be a mod, but I won't do anything else than just delete spam when I see it (if there is anything else to do).
I check the forum often.

That's harsh. You don't seem like a bad guy. I hope you'll do fine.
Also, since many bots seem to post mindlessly in subforum n°1, would it be possible to move the "Wolfire" subforum to a different number (perhaps using a script), and make subforum 1 invisible, or something to that extent?

It might be pretty naive. I don't know how spambots work.

I check pretty frequently. I might be up for some moderating. Your call, though.

Today, I'm checking pretty frequently, and if there's something interesting I'm waiting for, I check very often.
On normal days, I check about 3 times an hour or something, right now I'm trying to read this flood of stuff on the forums.

That is a pretty good idea. I don't think that is necessary anymore, though, with the new mod situation. Next time I get some extra free time, I will investigate this.

Here's a simple idea, I know a place that just installed this. Make it so that members below a certain post count (like 10) can't post links.
