iDevGames Vectorized contest.

Post by Gwymold » Wed Apr 28, 2004 7:04 pm

I would put up a poll on the actuall games to have our own mini voting ballet, but as the server is down, I don't have a list. What is your favorite game in teh 21 days later vectorized contest*?

That contest pissed me off. I spent about 6 hours working on a cool vector Metal Slug game, but then the rules got changed and my game got disqualified because of the way it displays the vectors.

My favorite game's Space Barrage.

...and Metal Slug was the best thing to ever happen to pizza parlors, man.

Metal Slugs awsome! Anyway, Lugaru is my favorite game right now. And if still have a copy of that game, could I have a copy of it?

By favorite game, he meant in the vectorized contest. I don't think there's a vector lugaru just yet

Right now, I will seperate the games which I remember into groups, and comment on them.

Space Barrage: Nice polish and gameplay, but pretty hard to get past wave 1.

Dark Rider: incredibly addicting, but unfortunately I lost my copy.

Offender: Very good game, but needs bosses and only 30 or so levels. It got kinda hard after mines came in.

VectorSchlaut: Very good game, but gets really hard on the last level. It needs more levels, BTW.

Shoot Things: ok game, nice powerups, but didn't meet the spirit of the contest. It wasn't vectorized at all.

SV Racer: stupid, annoying game.

iDevil: has some potential, but as of now it is boring. Cannot die, boss = too easy.

Past Blasters: It was a good game, but I just don't like it. Didn't hit my chord.

Jellybean Fugue: great potenital, but just too easy. Got boring after about five minutes. Great maze gene3rator, BTW. I cannot copy it in any way.

Dokutsu: What's the game?

Nerak Attack: I do not have enough access privileges to install Open AL

Infilitrator: could not download.

I know there's more games, I just forgot them. :? I will edit this post when I find out all of them. If you know any more, PM me, and I will add them. :D

There's a few tricks. Once you get the hang of it, it's insanely addicting and very well done for a relatively simple concept.

I would try them, but iDevGames has been down for a long time. Or perhaps I could say it has been up for a short time.

Totally. Too bad the only place that had it anywhere near me moved and then couldn't 'fit' it in because of the 'fireboxes' or something :?
