Post by Paragamer » Tue Oct 28, 2008 2:14 pm

Hi Guys,

Well our interview is now live at http://paragamer.com/overgrowth-interview-with-wolfire!

Go and check it out, we've tried to make sure that all the questions are relevant to the fans, some of them are questions suggested by the fans themselves!

We'd be happy to hear some feedback to, criticism, so long as it's constructive is fine.

Thanks

Epicness! <3
rumor has it that we will be getting beta codes to give out to our readers once their ready!
...Eeeeee, that sounds dangerous, actually.
Might I suggest you guys skip this plan? =E
Beta codes... the idea is great and all, but not effective in the ways of piracy protection.
(Of course, if you want your betas protected at all is up to you...)
As an example there's Battlefield Heroes. Beta codes are required.
By the masses these codes are getting abused, re-used, and illegally generated and distributed throughout the know-where.

In fact, a classmate of mine even offered me a beta code for it via MSN!
I turned it down, but the main reason being that Battlefield Heroes isn't for mac.

I'd hate for this to happen to the Lugartoo betas without it being intended.
Just a warning, though...

So cats are battle-worthy thieves.

Rats are cowards and thieves.

But.. He mentioned dogs. Would they be the kind of Honor-loving war kind of race? Random nerdy example- The Mandalorians?

This is what I'm most excited for:

"We are working on a bad ass climbing system. Like Assassin’s Creed, but cooler, more seamless, and easier thanks to our procedural animation system. This is going to be most apparent in places with giant trees, cliff faces, and other surfaces."

and this, of course:

"Rest assured that there are no parental groups getting in the way of the purity of Overgrowth’s ultra violence."

:D

My guess is that dogs are not quite as physically powerful as wolves, but are smarter. At the very least we have an image of a dog with a staff and what looks like armor, and we know from Lugaru that wolves won't use weapons unless they grab them from you in a reversal, and never wear armor (not that they always need armor).

Personality-wise, who knows?

Actually Mandalorian style race would make sense, since the Mandalorians loved battle and the honor in fighting so much that when the mandalorian clans split up, they became mercenaries.

Maybe dogs just like fighting and are mercenaries.
