Multiple opponents with knives
Multiple opponents with knives
While playing the demo on insane difficulty, I faced lots of trouble when simoultaneously confronting two or more raider bunnies wielding knives. When facing unarmed opponents, hitting and running works fine. However, armed bunnies often get to deliver a slash or two in the process, so the aforementioned tactic isn't really viable. Against single armed opponents countering attacks works like a dream, but against multiple ones, countering is not an option. So far, I've had to run between whatever corpses there are on the field, kicking them towards anyone stupid enough to approach. This isn't too atmospheric, though, if you know what I mean. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot, both tactics worked really well. Zip's was much more difficult to master, but it was really fulfilling to pounce into the enemy group, steal a knife, and jump away unharmed. I found the leg cannon- tactic really powerful. Not only did it disarm the bunnies, it usually killed 2 of them right away. This was especially devastating against the strong bunnies in the "Raider sentries" level. It seemed to me as if the enemy's ability to reverse your attacks actually decreased when they fought in packs. Neither of these tactics worked too well against single opponents, they easily countered the tackle and the leg cannon. But against groups they did wonders.
Against strong single opponents ( read raider sentry armored bunny ) the leg cannon worked for me by first stunning the enemy with an U-punch and following it up with a leg cannon once the enemy rose from the ground.
Wait a second, I can't make the tackle-disarm thing work at all! I must be doing something wrong. Sometimes the raiders reverse the tackle and get a free knife slash. Sometimes they don't reverse the tackle but don't drop the knife afterwards either. When doing this in a group I just end up in the middle of the enemy, which simply rips me apart.
