Anyone have Warcraft 3? (Help me!)

I just got it for my B-day but I keep getting the disc read error message. The disc is fine but I've googled the situation and it seems this is happening to a lot of people. Anyone know what to do?

Yesterday, after fiddling with the game, I got it to work, but I can't do it again.

Explanation:
If you do this right, you can play Warcraft III without having the CD in your real CD-ROM drive again. Daemon Tools creates a "virtual" (fake) CD-ROM drive on your computer. Mounting the war3.mds inserts a "virtual" Warcraft III CD.

I'm kinda having a virus problem right now, so I can't really do anything. Do you know any good antivirus or antispyware programs? I'm using Norton 2005 and Microsoft AntiSpyware, but it doesn't seem to be helping so much.

Do you have Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos? Frozen Throne will not run if Reign of Chaos isn't installed on the computer.

Well, War3.mdf + War3.mds are not viruses so you probably got those from somewhere else. For spyware, try Lavasoft Ad-Aware or Spyware Doctor.

I didnt get it from that, I was trying to get a no cd-crack and I got one. ATM, Im trying to find my Windows 2000 disc to wipe my hd, or buy Windows xp

See, this is what mac users are missing. I've finally found out why people like windows!!! The problem solving! whenever they have extraneous energy, they just try to do something on their windows machine. It drains their energy, and gets them nowhere! sort of like a mental stress ball, or punching bag.

hdlsa, Don't use no-CD cracks because if Blizzard updates War3 to a new version, you'll have to find/wait for a whole new crack. This is why the virtual War3 CD is so useful.

Oh yea. One last note: Blizzard is cracking down on the no-CD cracks. Battle.net doesn't work on most of them. And personally, Battle.net is the only reason why I play War3.

I was just going to use a no-cd crack as a temporary thing.
