Multiplayer in now?

Saw this on gametrailers.com and i absolutely love it. I usually test/buy games with another friend (no homo), and was wondering if there are multiplayer functionalities in game now (alpha version)?

There isn't any network/internet multiplayer yet, and it seems it hasn't been decided if the final game will include this kind of multiplayer whatsoever. There is however support for split screen and beat-em-up-esque camera, and I think wolfire plans on having some sort of coop campaign in the final product. Right now, split screen multiplayer is just as fleshed out as singleplayer, since it runs in the exact same way.

But the way it works currently is one player uses the keyboard/mouse and the other player uses the controller. There is not yet support for 2 controllers.

Well if you use a program like xpadder I think you can set the xbox controller buttons to the keyboard commands that control player one, and use the other controller for player two. I know you can do it with ps3 controllers and motionjoy because I've played it with my friends with two controllers.
I would definitely recommend this game, you and your friend will be entertained for multiple hours just by the side-view combat, and then you still have coop to play!

There is local multiplayer (both co-op or pvp) but there are no online options.
