In the past I have been working in a 'quick and dirty' fashion, but now I am working in a more modular and sustainable way. This means it will take a while for the Phoenix engine to be done, but once it is, I should be able to create new games much more smoothly.

Quick recap on how long everyone's been waiting:
Me: Since I first joined, somewhat two years ago.
Everyone else: Since they first joined, maybe another year on top of that for some.

Personally, my life does not revolve around the release of a computer game. Anyone freaking out over no updates may want to try go and finding something else to occupy themselves with instead of being weird.

I'm not sure weather to take that as a serious statement or a burn

It's his idea of a serious statement. Anything which doesn't fit into his narrow idea of normal is "weird".

I have a feeling that that post and everything after it will have to split into a new thread along the lines of "Random Ultimatum Flamewar VII: The Reignition"

If they made movies like that, Wolfire Forums would be a very prolific screenwriter.

I'm sure he'll post as soon as the team has feature stuff compiled to blow our minds out, so... Asking again and again doesn't speed things up.
I mean, when he announced that the game would take longer than a year to make (back in early 2006), I put my "when it's done" sticker on it. That helped.
