Lone Wolf 2: Dusk
Part I : Dawn
"Ugh.. My head.."
I (yup, thats right, this is first person now) tried to get up but my head hurt like hell, my vision was all blurry, and there was too much ringing in my ears to tell what was going on. I couldn't remember anything, ugh, it was horrible. I managed to get up, and my vision cleared up, I looked round, I was in a big city of some kind, most buildings were knocked down, and there was alot of burn marks.. And signs of battle, I looked round, and saw a wolf, he wore light blue robes which were stained with blood, he was speared on a flag pole... It was Invertin, looking at his dead body, I remembered everything.
"Damnit!"
Tiergan, who was he? A single rabbit that could do all this? One thing was certain, the fire was spreading and I needed to get the heck out of here before the whole city burned down, I jumped down from the building I was on and found another body, but this one was alive, it was the Alpha-wolf that sentenced me to death in the first place, I was about to leave her for dead, but she groaned and got up. Firstly, I ran, secondly, I was pulled back by a wolves paw, thirdly, I was given a big whiff of the worst smelling breath I'd ever smelled.
Cresent: "You, little pest, I don't even know your name and already you try to leave me here!"
"I just need-"
Cresent: "If we are to survive, we both need to get out of here."
"Thats what I was going to-"
Cresent: "Just do what I say and we will both be happy."
She looked round and I couldn't help but notice her distinctive smell, she smelled like a mix of dead rabbit, dead wolf, ashes, smoke, and rotten fish...
Cresent: "Follow me."
"Look, lady, I-"
Cresent: "My name is Cresent, and I know you think you can get out of here alone, but I know this place like the back of my hand, partly because I have a map of the town on the back of my hand. You help me, I get you out of here, we go our separate ways, every-ones happy. Deal?"
"Fi-"
Cresent: "Good, now follow me."
She ran towards a big building which looked alot like a palace, or a mansion, or something along those lines, I followed her inside, and inside it was about the same, only with a partly collapsed roof. She walked to the wall and grabbed a little ornate statue of a knife, she pulled it and it revealed a secret staircase.
"This place is-"
Cresent: "Lets go."
If only she let me talk.. Anyway, we went down the stairs and ended up in a big corridor, it was more like a dungeon than the fancy stuff upstairs, and luckily the fire had not spread down here. At the end of the corridor was a fork, Cresent took the left fork so I had to follow, we went through a long and boring series of corridors, until we came to a door with some burn marks around the key hole. Cresent pushed it open and we were now in a big cave.
"W-"
Cresent: "The exit is at the end. Its a long cave."
I groaned, I'd been walking in this damn castle/palace/mansion/dungeon thing all day!.. But in the end she was right, at the end was a grave of a wolf [I tried to ask her about it but she still wouldn't let me talk] and an exit, it lead to a desert, which was odd considering that the wolf city itself is in the colder regions of the north. After we got out I looked round, not too far away from the exit of the cave, was aload of red ants armed with crossbows.
"What the? Cresent!"
I looked round, she had already ran away.
Red ant: "Your coming with us."
"But the swarm was defeated!"
Red ant: "There is more of us than just that, now come with us."
I looked round, no escape, I sighed and put my hands up.
Red ant: "Smart move, just stay in front of me and don't try anything."
End of part 1
I know it's relatively short, but to be honest I still have no idea what I'm doing... Anyway, as you have probably worked out from the title and the first part, this story is all about Dusk. Partly because I never explained why he hated the black ant and why the black ant hates him. Another odd thing, the Lone Wolf 2 I had planned is completely different from this, but it will be a very long time before the planned one comes out, so until then this is Lone Wolf 2 and the other Lone Wolf 2 is now Lone Wolf 3.

Part 2: Good news?
I'd been blind folded after we got out of the desert, so I'm not sure where we've been going for the last few days, and judging from the way they were talking, neither did my "escort". Anyway, eventually they took off my blindfold, we were at a big door, in the same style as the door to the original Swarm base, but this one had slightly different colors, plus, we weren't in the same place.
Red Ant: "Here we are. This, is your new home, Dusk."
"What? What do you mean?"
The Red Ant sighed.
Red Ant: "As you are a part of the Black Ant's family, no matter how much we object, you are the heir to the throne, and since the Black Ant has disappeared, you are... You are... You are, the new Black Ant..."
"....No."
Red Ant: "What? You should be happy!"
"Happy? Happy!? My father was fine, until he became the Black Ant, he ruled with an Iron fist, and treated me like a subject, not like a son, he blamed me when my mother died, and tried to kill me and my friends, when I was just defending them... I don't want to end up like him. Get someone else to rule your precious swarm. I'm not interested."
Red Ant: "You cannot turn this down, where else do you have to go?"
"The wolves have just had their city burned down, the survivors will rebuild."
Red Ant: "Then we shall hunt you down."
"I emptied the old base and killed my father."
Red ant: "But you are surrounded and unarmed."
Unfortunately, he was right. In my big speech about my father, I had ignored the red ants surrounding me in a tight circle.
"If you kill me you will lose your leader."
Red Ant: "If you leave you are officially out of the swarm. And then we can kill you."
The red ants walked towards the one I was talking to, so of course, I ran. I ran for a very long time, until I heard in the distance...
Red ant: "Kill him."
I ran into some woods, but I heard metal footsteps catching up to me, I grabbed a branch and used it to swing up to another branch.
"Since when could I do that?"
I looked down and saw the other red ants climb up after me.
"Oh well!"
I grabbed the branch above me and climbed up, and again, and again, and again until I was at the top of the tree. Then I remembered I was afraid of heights.
Red ant: "You are cornered come with us peacefully and we will not hurt you!"
I looked round, I couldn't jump to another tree because that's just silly, and besides, they were too far away now. I looked down and let out a little scream, this tree was huge. If I climbed down, I would get caught by them, if I jumped away, I would fall and die, and if I tried going up.. Well, I was already as high as I could go. So do you know what I did? I jumped backwards off of the branch I was on and let myself fall, then I held my arms out and hoped I would grab something. and I did.I swung on that branch and landed back on the ground. I saw the ants climb down after me, but I could fall and run much faster than they could climb, I ran away. By the time they got down I was out of the woods. I was now an enemy of the swarm.
Time to visit some old friends..
